Team Lock Up have been on an incredible run commencing during the penultimate week of the ANZ League regular season, sitting in fifth place, needing two wins to even make the finals TLU put it all together led admirably by Ad and Milo to run through the finals and take the bragging rights. TLU kept it going by cruising through the Green Release NBA 2K Australia and New Zealand undefeated and collecting $150 prize money.

Nine teams lined up for a double elimination Pro-Am tournament with a $25 buy-in. TLU came through the winners bracket to play EXE who fought hard through the losers bracket to make the final.

Exe were led by Jimboh as their primary ball handler who also paced their scoring load and CruzIQ who has impressed lately as a highly efficient scoring guard, adding to Jimboh's draft stock is his ability to defend the primary ball handler and in LockUpAD that is no mean feat. Both teams ran elements and periods of the five out offence however it was a wildly entertaining series and TLU are proving hard to contain with the high screen and roll or pop with Milo and AD which also serves to allow Cav to move into the open space for three point shots, as usual Milo was grabbing rebounds left and right.

Run the Trap again to proved to be a tough match up and their team play is constantly improving, Blair (Blair3st) was in red-hot form and took control through the earlier rounds giving TYC Nation absolute fits and having their specialist defender graded out. Take Note and TYC Nation on the back of Tyceno's excellent guard play are a team on the rise. Look for them both in future tournaments.

The second iteration of the Green Release NBA 2K One Day Tournament will take place on January 28th before moving into regular season league play.
